Album of photos of an 1883 mining exposition in Madrid's Buen Retiro gardens, documenting interior and exterior views of the principal buildings. The Crystal Palace in the park served as a central location for the exposition, while temporary buildings were erected around it to house exhibits sponsored by mining companies operating in Spain. Printed titles beneath the images identify the companies involved, while the photos show groupings of massive mining machinery, mining products, the exteriors of the exhibition buildings, and perspectives of the grounds.
